Common Questions
Do I need riding experience?
No siree! We welcome greenhorns and seasoned riders alike. Our wranglers will match you with the right horse and trail for your skill level. First-timers get a complimentary 30-minute lesson before hitting the trail.
What should I pack?
Bring sturdy boots (cowboy boots or hiking boots work fine), long pants, layers for changing weather, sunscreen, and a hat. We provide helmets for all riders. Leave the fancy duds at home — you're gonna get dusty!
Are kids welcome at the ranch?
Absolutely! Dusty Trail Ranch is a family-friendly destination. We have gentle horses and special programs for young buckaroos ages 6 and up. Younger children can enjoy our petting zoo and pony rides.
What are your rates?
Day passes start at $149/person and include trail riding, lunch, and activities. Overnight bunkhouse stays start at $299/night. Multi-day packages offer the best value — ask about our "Week on the Range" special!
How do I get there?
We're located 45 minutes east of Austin off Highway 71. Detailed directions are sent upon booking. We recommend 4WD vehicles during rainy season, though our main road is maintained year-round.
